This month we continue with the "Life of P.I." series where we have been looking at data protection considerations at each point of the lifecycle of personal information.

We will discuss the following points from the perspective of both the Controller / Responsible Party and the Operator / Processor.

• The role of a RoPA in understanding your purpose and justification for having sets of personal data.

• How to identify who should be owners and stewards of the various sets of personal information that might be maintained and accessed across the organization.

• A practical way to ensure your staff buy-in to managing data securely and build a healthy security culture

• How data subject participation requirements impact on data maintenance

We are working with Caroline Mouton to bring you a monthly discussion on protecting your data!

For 2023, we are focussing on the data lifecycle as a useful way to slice up managing Personal Information ("PI") in order to comply with privacy legislations. We will start with Dispose and work backwards to the Plan phase to build up the practical integration points between the lifecycle steps. In each talk we will discuss key privacy compliance objectives and practical data management approaches to tackle them.
