Ecstatic Dance Knoxville — Full Moon Lion's Gate Portal

Our Saturday evening dance wave takes place on the Full Moon during the Lion's Gate Portal ~ a lot of cosmic energy assisting to help work your mind/body/spirit through to new transformative and healing places.

Ecstatic Dance is a movement practice, and while held in community it is also simultaneously your own personal journey with the music as a support and guide.

No "dance" experience is necessary. This is a free-form, somatic, meditative practice where every breath is movement.

As always, the music mix is interwoven with tracks intended to carry you, to support and meet you right where you are, giving you some of what your body most needs in the moment. Our Aug. 9th mix is "ROAR" crafted with a blend of spoken word and long tracks to allow space for diving deeper into shadows and light, love and grace.

The dances are drug-free, alcohol-free, smoke-free and conversation-free. And we ask that you arrive substance-free.

The music follows a journey with a calm/flow beginning, into a more vigorous and intense middle, entering into a more still and silent end.
The dance is open to everyone! Family friendly. No partner or dancing ability required - only breath and soul.

Please dress comfortably and bring some water to stay hydrated.
