Ecstatic Dance Wave in the Sanctuary
Details
An ecstatic dance, or dance wave, is a meditative movement practice where music is used as the guide. There is no "Dance" choreography -- rather it's a practice in which people learn to listen to and work with their own body, moving as little (including not at all) or as much as wanted. It helps release tensions and often helps people work through emotions and stressors. It's family friendly and suitable for all ages and body types and body abilities. We are very inclusive.
No "dance" experience is necessary. This is a free-form, somatic, meditative practice where every breath is movement.
This month's dance lands on the Spring Equinox & Eileen's mix will reflect this seasonal turning point. Mathew Blondell will be our facilitator. Eileen will also lead a short opening meditation.
