What we’re about
Interested in joining the Dashing Whippets as a new member? Visit www.dashingwhippets.org to learn how to join! This MeetUp group is now a place for legacy members of the Dashing Whippets to stay connected with the team and is closed to new members.
The Dashing Whippets Running Team is a large, competitive running team based in New York. We welcome runners with a wide range of goals and training paces, and we offer 10+ weekly group runs, training plans, and group coaching. We are here to support your goals, whether you are training to complete your first marathon or planning to qualify for the next Olympic Trials.
Our club competes in the Open A division of NYRR. We consider the number of members who run each Club Points race to be as important a metric as the scoring by the elite team, so make sure you have us listed as your club affiliation and let's get out for some races! More information here: https://www.dashingwhippets.org/racing/
We charge $65 in annual dues after a 30 day free trial. Official membership is counted through this Meetup group.

See allStarting August 30, all Dashing Whippets events will be posted exclusively on Yakka, our new team app, built for Whippets, by Whippets. You’ll use it to RSVP for runs, follow training plans and chat with teammates all in one place.
Over 250 Whippets are already on Yakka! You should’ve received your invite by email (sent to the address linked to your Meetup account) or as a Meetup message if you joined in the past year. Try searching your inbox for “Yakka” to find it. It takes just 5 minutes to get setup.
Can’t find your invite? Fill out this quick form and we’ll get another one over to you.
And since MeetUp requires this to be an “in-person” event, it’s also your chance to ask questions about the migration to Yakka live, just look for Jason in the 9:30+ pace group on the 8/30 long run 😄
