- Manhattan Perimeter Run and Brewery HangPier 40 at Hudson River Park, New York, NY
Have you always wanted to run the perimeter of Manhattan! Well, we are doing it this winter! Or at least, we are doing as much of it as we can given all the construction on the east side these days. Scroll down for more info about the perimeter run.
We will also plan to meet up at Torch and Crown Brewery afterward. This will also celebrate the hardos running the PPTC ultra in Prospect Park that morning, and will celebrate the end of the 2023 Club Points season with the Ted Corbitt 15k the day before. So whether you're running this weekend or not, come by and have a beer! T&C also serves food, coffee, cocktails, wine, and nonalcoholic beer and cocktails.
Cycling
If you're interested in cycling the perimeter, mention that in the sign up and we'll convene a group if there's enough interest. Probably starting around 10.Schedule
7:45 am -- perimeter runners meet just south of Pier 40 on the Hudson Greenway (there's a Citibike station right there)
8:00 am -- perimeter runners start
12:00 pm -- first perimeter runners start to finish, brewery opens, everyone else starts to meet at Torch and CrownCourse
Find the perimeter course on Strava here. This is my best attempt at mapping what is open right now, but just stay as close to the water as you can without running through a construction site. - California International MarathonFolsom Dam, Folsom, CA
I hear the train a-comin', it's rolling 'round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San AntonePerfect weather, net downhill (but not too downhill, so it still counts), a fast field, and absolutely no fun distractions (hello, Sacramento). It's the California International Marathon! PR! BQ! OTQ! RSVP here to let your fellow Whippets know you're making the trip west!
