Abstracts of the talks:
---------
"Career Landscaping", by Pencho Yordanov, PhD, a Lead Data Scientist at the Adecco Group
A central challenge in candidate-job matching is to suggest both desirable and feasible matches, while not denying opportunities resulting from individual or group bias. We propose a method for inferring a progressive job allocation score reflecting these requirements. We do so by extracting individual job trajectories from CVs and aggregating them to obtain collective career preferences. Finally, we show how this score can be used for the next career step recommendation and exploration.
---------
"Tailoring Titans: Optimizing Large Language Models for Applications in Global HR", by Reuben Zotz-Wilson, PhD, a Lead Data Scientist at the Adecco Group
This presentation delves into the challenges Large Language Models (LLMs) face in generating content for specialized segments, such as the global HR domain, and contrasts LLMs' parametric retrieval with non-parametric models that use external data. The talk seeks to offer insights on effectively tailoring the extensive capabilities of LLM APIs to cater to the diverse and intricate needs of HR, focusing on applications like chatbots and document enhancement while addressing the incorporation of HR-specific content that often lies within the long tail of LLM training data.
