In 2026, Datalere will host Denver Data Dialogues, insights for data leaders, an in-person networking event featuring guest speakers, panels, catered food (not pizza) and more!

This is a re-boot of our old meetup, Data Science in Colorado, but this time with a broader set of topics and new location. Don’t worry, though, the format and quality of speakers hasn’t changed!

This event takes place on the second Tuesday of every month at the Washington Street Community Center. Arrive early to grab dinner from our catered (not pizza) spread. Stick around to network with your peers. And connect both with people exploring new career opportunities and those actively hiring.

By attending Denver Data Dialogues, you will be joining a community of data practitioners and analytics leaders exploring the ideas shaping modern data strategy. These sessions center on real-world dialogue around data architecture, AI readiness, and analytics leadership, with an emphasis on collaboration and applicable insight you can take back to work.

On February 10th, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Nicholas Dana, Principal Data Scientist at Elehas Biosciences, who will be presenting "Clustering, Clipping and Non-standard Transforms - Using Unsupervised Data for Model Development".

In the world of translational medicine, validated clinical outcomes are often difficult to come by. Following a seminal paper published in 2021, Elephas set out to refine and improve upon a method that utilized hierarchical clustering to label data as a surrogate for clinical ground truth. In this talk, we'll discuss some of the solutions we found to adapt this technique for our purposes, as well as some of the pitfalls we encountered.

This work is an excerpt from a poster presented at the 2025 Society for Immunotherapy in Cancer (SITC) conference:

Development and characterization of cytokine-based classifiers to predict response to immunotherapy using an ex vivo live tumor fragment platform.

In addition, for the second portion of the event, we will have a fishbowl that will encourage more group participation. The fishbowl format that we will use will allow anyone to have their say. In this fishbowl, we will be featuring data engineers from Datalere and any other brave participants who will explore important questions on data analytics in today’s world.

This event will be moderated by Denver local and data engineering expert Carlos Bossy.

We can't wait to see you there!
