About us

Are you learning data analytics, data science, programming, AI, or other digital skills?

Maybe you're taking an online course, working on a personal project, or simply trying to develop skills that will help you in your career.

But… how easy is it to stay motivated when you're doing it all alone?

There is no shortage of online courses and information. The difficult part is often showing up consistently, putting what you learn into practice, and staying motivated.

That's why I'm starting a weekly in-person Techies Study Group ☕💻

### What is it?

Think of it like a running group, but for learning digital skills.

You bring your own course, project, exercises, or learning goals. We meet in the same physical space, work and learn alongside each other, exchange ideas, ask questions, and help each other stay accountable.

You don't need to be an expert. You don't need to teach anyone. You just need to be collaborative, curious and willing to learn.

### How it works

🎯 Bring something you're currently learning or working on

💻 Work/study independently alongside the group

💬 Take breaks to exchange ideas and questions

🤝 Meet people with similar interests

🚀 Make progress together — even if everyone is working on something different

The goal isn't to create another course or lecture.

It's to create a supportive environment where learning is easier because you're not doing it alone.

### Why am I starting this?

I'm Miriam, a Mexican biotechnologist working in renewable energy in Germany. I've been learning data analytics and other digital skills because I like it and I know they can be valuable for my professional development.

But I've realized that I'm a very social learner. I love the organic interactions that happen when people are physically together.

I started joining running and bouldering groups and noticed something: even though everyone has their own goals, being surrounded by other people makes it easier to show up and push yourself a little further.

I think learning can work the same way. The purpose is:

> A weekly in-person study & coworking group for people learning or practicing data analytics, data science, and other digital skills.
>

So, let's experiment.
