What we’re about
We are a group of data leads who want to learn from each other. While attending talks and lectures can be valuable, we often find that we benefit the most from talking to each other, sharing our experiences, asking questions, and hearing ideas.
Although there are such communities for software engineers, we couldn't find one that focused specifically on data engineering. That's why we decided to create this group.
Once a month, we choose a topic and gather around a table to discuss it. Unlike traditional talks, there is no speaker or presentation – we simply sit and talk to each other.
How does it work?
- Anyone can suggest a topic for discussion by posting it here.
- Group members vote on the suggested topics, and the one with the most votes is chosen for the next event.
- Once a month, we meet in person at a hosting company and gather in a circle to discuss the chosen topic.
- After the event, we exchange phone numbers and continue the discussions outside the event. This way, we can keep the conversation going and build lasting connections with other data professionals.
That's it! We aim to keep our events informal, engaging, and collaborative, so everyone can learn from each other in a comfortable setting.
Am I a data lead?
If you're here, it's likely that you work with data on a daily basis and want to learn from others. It doesn't matter if you have 15 years of experience or are just starting your career – great people can learn from everybody. What matters most is your mindset and eagerness to collaborate and share knowledge.
