How (not to) visualise Singapore's Elections

Details

Synopsis:
In this sharing, the Open Government Products (OGP) team from data.gov.sg, will be sharing how they build a data visualisation product, from ideation, design, iteration to production. Learn from all the mistakes we made while trying to visualise Singapore's Elections data!

Check out OGP's elections data visualization at elections.data.gov.sg!

Speakers: Foong, Si Han and Samantha are the product manager, software engineer and product designer on data.gov.sg, where they are making Singapore's data more discoverable, understandable and usable.

Date: 3rd April (Thurs)
Time: 7pm
Location: 51 Bras Basah Road, Lazada One, #04-08 Singapore 189554

This talk is open to the public, and a great opportunity to network or meet people if you're interested in data visualization or products!

Please note that the location is at the Open Government Products Office at Lazada One (at Bras Basah Road, near Bencoolen MRT), and not at SUTD. Thanks!

This is the 1st talk of the year, organized in tandem with the Interactive Data Visualization course under the Masters of Urban Studies and Public Policy (MUSPP) at SUTD.

Please note that because of security, we have to cross-reference your username and meetup member ID (it's in your user profile) at the location itself before you can be let in the office. Thanks
