Fabio is a data visualization designer with the iDeas Lab at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he specializes in translating data sets into infographics and visual stories. Before joining CSIS, he worked as a multimedia designer at New America, a think tank, and has always been passionate about the fundamental ways numbers affect public policy, and how public policy, in turn, affect our lives.

Abstact: Data visualization is a way to represent numbers. How can we make the most of it? How can we use the data in the most powerful way, i.e. influencing policy making? This conversation will touch on the key principles in performative dataviz-making and how intentional design can help us achieve the most effective configuration for our data.
