Data Visualization in XR

The third Data Visualization MeetUp Hamburg is coming very soon! ✨

Come and join us for our Data Viz Meetup in Hamburg. This time it will be all about Data Viz in XR.

This time we'll meet at HAW Hamburg's Research and Transfer Center (FTZ) Digital Reality in the Speicherstadt (Am Sandtorkai 27 - 5th floor).

• Thiemo, a communication designer and media artist with a focus on immersive information design from Kiel, will give a talk about his work on data viz in Augmented Reality. Thiemo's work focuses on generative design in real and virtual space, new interaction possibilities and the relationship between humans and nature.
• For the hands-on session, Thiemo will let us try out one of his applications using Oculus glasses. Additionally, Mirco, who is a research assistant at the FTZ, will give us a glimpse of what the Apple Vision Pro could offer to us datavis enthusiasts.
• And, just as last time, we'll have lots of time to chat, network, and get to know other data viz nerds.

The event is in-person only, in English language and free of charge. The main program will finish around 8pm but feel free to stick around and chat. Drinks and some snacks will be provided. Please sign up for the event, so we can estimate how many people are joining.
