We are honored to have Dr Hadley Wickham (author of Ggplot2) take us through a hands on workshop on the basics on data visualization using R.
Dr. Wickham is visiting SF and we're incredibly lucky to have him come speak.
Come join us and please come with your computers (charged) and R loaded.
Event format:
6:30 - 7:00 pm - Pizza and beer
7:00 -8:30 pm - Workshop
8:30 -9 pm - Networking, questions

Software requirements to get the most out of it -

R 2.15, http://www.inside-r.org/download

Rstudio desktop, http://rstudio.org/download/desktop

Once you have R and Rstudio installed, open Rstudio and run the
following code:
install.packages(c("ggplot2", "plyr", "reshape2", "stringr", "lubridate"))
- You can check everything is installed correctly by running:
library(ggplot2)
qplot(mpg, wt, data = mtcars)
