This year's Data + AI Summit brought together over 32,000 attendees — making it the largest gathering of data and AI professionals in the industry! Whether you were there or couldn't make it, we want to bring the highlights to you.
Join Databricks and the St Louis User Community for the Data + AI Summit 2026 Rewind, where we'll recap the major announcements from this year's event. We unveiled the next generation of the Data Intelligence Platform, empowering customers to build and govern the agentic future.
Key announcements span three major themes:
Agentic Data: A Unified, Real-Time Foundation
Databricks introduced the world's first Lake Transactional + Analytical Processing (LTAP) solution, unifying OLTP and OLAP into a single real-time data foundation — plus Lakehouse//RT for millisecond BI performance and Lakebase for agent-native search.
Unified Governance: Control for Data and AI
Global Unity Catalog extends unified governance across every region and cloud. Unity AI Gateway adds a runtime governance layer for enterprise AI, enabling organizations to centrally control all AI usage — models, agents, and coworkers — enforcing policy and managing cost from a single pane of glass. And Omnigent introduces an open meta-harness for running and governing autonomous coding and business agents.
Agentic Work, Dev & Apps: AI Coworkers and Developer Tools
A new family of Genie products brings AI coworkers and "enterprise vibe coding" to everyone. Powering it all is Genie Ontology — a self-improving enterprise context graph that helps AI understand your business, so agents deliver answers you can trust. Genie App Builder lets anyone describe the app they want and deploy it connected to governed data.
