The need for data scientists is present and growing. But what does "data science" mean, and how does one actually learn and perform data science?
This is a group for people interested in learning how to perform hands-on data science, big data analysis, and machine learning; basically about having fun with machines too smart for their own good. :-)
This group is about:
- Learning
Learning data science from scratch or building on a foundational knowledge - individually and together with the use of MOOCs, books/tutorials, and regular hacklabs.
- Doing
Applying data science skills on data sets from public and private sources, participating in hacklabs etc.
