=== Talk Abstract ===
MLOps has become essential in today’s AI industry, ensuring the seamless deployment, monitoring, and scalability of machine learning models in production environments. With AI systems becoming increasingly complex, MLOps integrates data science and operational workflows, enabling organizations to automate processes, reduce errors, and enhance the efficiency of model management. Its adoption is crucial for keeping AI models agile, reliable, and continuously improving.
In this hands-on exercise, we will deploy three pre-trained models through a pipeline, triggered by a ChatOps mechanism (through github actions), that automates their availability via an API, demonstrating the real-world impact of MLOps in streamlining AI deployment.

=== About the speaker ===

• Pedro Sobral, Master Informatics Engineering @ UA

Pedro Sobral holds a Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from the University of Aveiro and is finishing the Master's in the same area and University. He completed a research fellowship at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, where he started gaining experience deploying ML models. His master's thesis, developed at Bosch, is related to MLOps and Deep Learning models for sales forecast, reflecting his passion for merging AI with real-world applications, with a focus on optimizing ML workflows and developing accurate AI solutions reaching robust ML systems.
