About us
The Data Science Speakers Club is a Toastmasters International club enabling the current and next generation of Data Scientists, Entrepreneurs, Innovators, Mathematical and Logical Thinkers to focus on their communication and leadership development, to increase their self confidence, become better speakers, become better leaders and most importantly, communicate effectively.
We meet fortnightly on Mondays from 18:30 to 20:30.
The Data Science Speakers Club provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
Do you want to perfect the art of communicating technical information to a non-technical audience, improve your technical interpersonal skills in order to become effective general communicators and gain confidence to become future technical leaders? Then join the Data Science Speakers Club and begin the Toastmasters International educational programme.
A Toastmasters meeting is a 'learn-by-doing' workshop in which members perfect their speaking and leadership skills in a non-pressure atmosphere, as well as a safe and constructive environment. There is no instructor in a meeting. Instead members evaluate one another's presentations and this feedback process is a key part of the programme's success.
