Putting Charts in Context — Designing Visualization Ecosystems for Your Data
Details
This talk will focus on understanding how a specific application and use case context influence chart design. We'll start by thinking about the application itself and understanding the full range of choices and functions that define a chart's ecosystem for operation. We'll look at common system architectures and discuss how those influence and scaffold a user's experience. Finally, we'll dig deep into the details of a particular use case, to understand how the chart and interface elements come together to support a specific analytical task.
