Career Paths in Data Visualization

Details
Data visualization is an interdisciplinary practice and brings together people from varying educational and professional backgrounds. In this meetup, we will hear from a panel of data visualization practitioners about where they’re coming from and how they got here. We’ll explore opportunities for newcomers and career changers to enter this field. We’ll discuss similarities and differences between careers in research, education, corporations, agencies, and media. But most importantly, we hope to shine a light on the diverse possibilities to find a place in the field of data visualization independent of your background.
