- Book Club: Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-JonesLink visible for attendees
This month we will be reading Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones.
Here's a description from the author's website:
Since the death of her parents, seventeen-year-old Ryn has been scraping together a meager existence as a gravedigger in a remote village at the foot of a harsh and deadly mountain range that was once home to the fae. The problem with being a gravedigger, though, is that the dead don’t always stay dead.
The risen corpses are known as bone houses and legend says they’re the result of a decades-old curse. After Ellis, an apprentice mapmaker with a mysterious past, arrives in town, the corpses attack with new ferocity. What is it that draws them near? And, more importantly, how can they be stopped for good?
Together, Ellis and Ryn embark on a quest that takes them deep into the heart of the mountains, where they will have to face both long-forgotten magic and the deeply buried truths about themselves.

- Avatar: The Last Airbender Monthly Watch PartyLink visible for attendees
What is this thing? It’s our monthly virtual watch party! For Avatar: The Last Airbender! We’ll watch the next 3 episodes and then have some social time afterwards to discuss the eps/show and whatever’s interesting y’all these days (Sci-Fi, Fantasy, RPGs, LGBTQ+ goodies, pop culture, you-name-it). Before we dive into the episodes, we’ll introduce ourselves so everyone gets a chance to share who they are and say hi.
Whether you’re a diehard Avatar: The Last Airbender fan or a first-time viewer, we hope you can hangout for a little!
Episodes we will watch:
- S1.E16 - The Deserter
- S1.E17 - The Northern Air Temple
- S1.E18 - The Waterbending Master
Didn't catch episodes 1-15 with us? That's okay! Avatar is easy to jump into and get your bearings. Plus, we can watch the "previously on" section of show to ensure you get a summary on what the gang got up to last time.
Where is it taking place? This event will take place on our Discord server, in the Watch Party voice channel. I will share the link with attendees the day of the event. On Discord, I will share my screen and make the magic happen.

How often does this watch party happen? It happens every month. Sometimes we watch the same series–sometimes we switch it up. Right now, we're on an Avatar: The Last Airbender kick.

Here's a description from the publisher's website:
Three factions vie for control of the galaxy. Rig, a gunslinging, thieving, rebel with a cause, doesn’t give a damn about them and she hasn’t looked back since abandoning them three years ago. That is, until her former faction sends her a message: return what she stole from them, or her twin sister will die.
Rig embarks on a journey across the galaxy to save her – but for once she’s not alone. She has help from her network of resistance contacts, her taser-wielding librarian girlfriend, and a mysterious bounty hunter.
If Rig fails, trillions of lives will be lost – including her sister’s. But if she succeeds, she might just pull the whole damn system down around their ears. Either way, she’s going to do it with Panache and Pizzazz.
