Could there be a way to enhance communication, understanding, and connection while valuing your own needs as well? Being heard, understood, and accepted is one of the most powerful gifts we can offer one another. At a time of increased vitriol and deep divisions, how do we retain our common humanity?
We all need help communicating.
In this two-part workshop using Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenburg, Dr. Phillip Wilder, Associate Professor of Literacy at Clemson University, will engage participants in cultivating honest, passionate, and civil discourse.
- Saturday, July 12th - 1st part 9am-3pm - Communicating with Honest Speech
- Sunday, July 27th - 2nd part 9am-3pm - Listening Beyond Anger
Location: - 8 Clarendon Ave, Greenville, SC (not at Dawn)
During Communicating with Honest Speech on Saturday, July 12th*,* participants will explore how interpersonal communication can create connection or disconnection.
Then, during Listening Beyond Anger *on **Sunday, ***July 27th, participants will learn practices for maintaining and deepening interpersonal connection—even amidst overwhelming conflict.
No familiarity with Nonviolent Communication is necessary. Each session lasts from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and is limited to 25 participants.
Be sure and bring your lunch, journal and pen. This event will be held in Greenville, SC at 8 Clarendon Ave, Greenville, SC
