After our late morning arrival in the center of Historic Saint Augustine, our nation’s oldest city, we will stop at the welcome center which unravels the progression of Florida’s history with a timeline of the city and here you can pick up a map of the town to follow along with during the tour. Next, we will visit Flagler’s White Marble Crypt at the church he built in a year housing high ceilings as in European Cathedrals and the largest pipe organ in the Southeast**.** After lunch, Step inside and step back in time! Within the coquina walls of the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum which is a vivid recreation of how people lived in the years after Florida became a new territory of the United States, and then a state. "In terms of its architecture, authenticity and the important stories it has to tell, the Ximenez-Fatio House ranks in the upper tier of historic house museums in America." You have a choice of the San Sebastian Winery Tour or a driving tour past the Oldest House and Garden, the Fountain of Youth, the stature of Ponce Deleon, Pedro Menendez and Henry Flagler the sight of the first giant cross, Fort Moses and the memorial of the Dade Massacre plus the surrounding waterways. We will have time to stroll the Downtown area with its’ more than 80 shops along cobbled lanes shaded by moss-draped oaks. Scattered throughout blocks of historic landmarks, you may discover eclectic offerings from specialty gifts such as handmade candles, woven goods and wood crafts, to clothing and more. At 6pm we will take a ride through the nights of Lights including the Bridge of Lions, Constitution Square, Flagler College and the City Hall in front of the Lightner which all together have been named on of the ten best holiday decorations in the USA. A snack/Rest room stop will be made at Bucee's on the return which the billboard states come for the bathrooms and stay for the Brisket! $95 Rate Includes: Transportation aboard Minibus, taxes, admissions, Florida Greeters tour director, museum entrance fee & sightseeing tour! Cancellations: Full refund until one month prior to departure. No refund for unused portions or cancellations received within one month prior to departure unless a substitution is made. Tour includes: Transportation, Guided Sightseeing Tour, Winery, Flagler’s Church and Museums. All prices and itinerary are subject to change based upon availability!
Leave Timbers at 8:30am and return around 9 to 9:30PM
