Let's check out the Salem Arts Festival

1. We will meet at 11:00 AM in front of the Nathaniel Hawthorne Statue across the street from Artemesia Botanicals. The address is 20 Hawthorne Blvd.

2. From there we'll explore the booths of local artists, performances, murals made as part of the event, and the pop-up art installations.

3. Afterward, if people would like to, we can get lunch. I have not made a reservation anywhere (due to the uncertainty of an arrival time), but there are many options for restaurants as well as take-out places.

4. Parking

• Be aware that parking may be difficult due to the number of people attending the festival. Consider taking public transportation, such as the commuter rail.
• There are metered spots and paid parking lots located throughout Salem. You can find more information about parking and an interactive parking map by clicking here.
• Consider parking at the Salem Station Parking Garage or the Waterfront Garage, as, I'm guessing, there will be less people parking at those locations. Although I can't guarantee that.

5. This event, or any other, may be canceled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen reasons. Before leaving your house/residence to attend, please check the event posting for any changes.
