Urban Hike: "The Neighborhoods"

Let's get together and explore the unique neighborhoods and areas that Dayton and vicinity have!

For this Urban Hike let's have lunch at the historic Engineers Club then take a hike around Riverscape Metro Park.

I'm excited about this one as the club has so much history!

Colonel Edward Deeds (Yes as in Deeds Metro Park) and Charles Kettering ( yes the famous one) created an Engineer club back in 1914. They began in a barn and called themselves the"Barn Gang."

There were 60 members to begin that included the Wright Brothers.

In 1918 they designed and built this location.

I set the limit to 8 so please be sure you can go before you choose going.

Be there at 11:45 and we will be seated at 12. You can park in their parking lot which is directly across from Riverscape.

We can look around the club after we eat.

After lunch let's walk around Riverscape, sit on the swings and just enjoy the day.
