The hiking speed will be, approximately 2.8 mph. We will hike ~ 4 miles of trail. You also have the option to drop off at 2 miles near parking lot. There are some rolling hills and gravel trails. Sturdy shoes and hiking poles are recommended. See you therešā©Charleston Falls Preserve is the most visited nature park in Miami County with over 216 acres of prairie and forests. The most unusual feature of this preserve is the waterfall. Originating from small underground springs several miles to the east, the stream creating the falls plummets 37' on its journey to the Great Miami River, one mile to the west. Flowing over rock strata that are also found in New York State and Canada, the falls can rightly be called a āMiniature Niagara.ā When we have rainšā©The Legal Stuff: The event host is just a fellow volunteer, not your hiking guide or guru.
