For this Urban we have a special guest to lead us in a few easy standing Yoga poses. Even if you have no experience you will be fine.
We are thrilled to have Cathy Moore guide our yoga practice! For Cathy, yoga is more than just a passion—it's been a way of life for over 25 years. She is a seasoned and accomplished 500-hour certified instructor who has been sharing her love for yoga with students for 13 years.
Cathy is dedicated to creating a supportive and welcoming space for all. You can currently find her leading classes at Thrive Yoga in Dayton and through her online community. You'll be in wonderful, experienced hands for our practice in the park.
First we will go into the pine forest. While we are in the forest let's make this a Silent walk, no talking, just taking in the beauty, the sounds and there are several pictures and things to read inside the forest. Let's take our time staying in the forest, not rushing.
After we come out of the forest, Cathy will lead us in a nice warm-up.
Continuing our walk we'll come to the tear drop pond. Let's take a small rest here as there are a couple places to sit.
As we come back to the forest and before we go back in, Cathy will lead us in a few more poses.
Returning to the forest let's make this a silent walk out also.
We will be on flat ground and the speed is about 2mph and distance about 2 miles.
After the hike we can go to The Florentine Restaurant in Germantown if we feel like it. I've never been.
