Christmas Hike: Walk to Holly Days at the Dayton Arcade 🌲🎅
6 Miles Roundtrip - 3 mph
No Pets. One guests permitted.

🎄✨ Kick off the holiday season with a magical walk from Carillon Park to the Dayton Arcade for Holly Days! We’ll follow the scenic Great Miami River paved path and stroll through downtown Dayton’s sidewalks as we make our way to the beautifully decorated Arcade. After exploring the festivities, we’ll head back to Carillon Park just in time to enjoy a glowing riverfront sunset and the towering, light-filled Carillon Tree of Lights. 🌅

Holly Days, in the Arcade’s Rotunda, is an annual event that features holiday shopping from over 50 small business vendors, food trucks and sweet treats, live entertainment curated by Culture Works, family-friendly activities and performances, a cash bar, and holiday surprises.
Holly Days is free. We will spend about 90 minutes at Holly Days.

Bundle up, dress for the weather, and wear comfortable shoes—you’ll be walking on paved and hard surfaces the whole way.

A Friendly Guide to Sharing the Trails: As we hike, we'll be sharing the path with others. To ensure a peaceful experience for everyone, let's be mindful of how we communicate. Instead of loud call-outs, let's use quiet voices and enjoy the sounds of nature. 🐦 When encountering others, we can simply move to the right to let them pass. ➡️ If someone is coming up behind our group, a quiet message passed up the line works perfectly. There's no need to yell, stop or leave the trail entirely; just making a little space is all that's needed for everyone to share the path gracefully. ⚜️
