Beaver Creek Wetlands Association is gearing up for the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count, and we need knowledgeable birders to help make it a success. We're looking for skilled birders who can lead a small team of volunteers. (No experience is required for the participants, which is why your expertise is so important.)

If you love birding and want to contribute to one of the longest-running wildlife surveys in the world, I'd love to have you lead a group.

You may click "Attend" BUT YOU MUST ALSO EMAIL ME, BETH EDSALL, at bedsall@beavercreekwetlands.org if you would like to lead.

At least one volunteer is needed to count at Creekside Reserve, and at least one volunteer is needed to count in the area of Amon Reserve, Beerman Fen and Valle View South. (You are welcome to invite a friend to count with you.)

Experience with eBird is a plus for data submission. The data you collect will provide information Audubon uses to learn about birds and what conservation efforts are necessary to protect them. Learn more about the Christmas Bird Count and results from the data:
History of the Christmas Bird Count
Population trends of species by geographical region
Annual Summaries of the Christmas Bird Count, 1901-Present

A meetup to participate, but not lead, will be sent soon!
