Let’s enjoy a magical night hike at Bill Yeck Park!
Let's go for a night hike at Bill Yeck Park in the fresh snowfall and enjoy their annual holiday luminary walk. We will hike a couple of miles on the trails in the park, then join their one-mile luminary walk, and then hike back to our cars. You must have the required gear listed below to attend this hike . 👇 People showing up without the required gear will not be able to participate.

About the Luminary Walk: Enjoy a candlelit stroll through Bill Yeck Park. There will be a one-mile route along the purple trail. Visit the Smith House and warm up by the fire circle, and enjoy the sounds of the season with carols from Centerville High School's symphonic choir! Free hot chocolate at the Forest Field shelter while supplies last! https://cwpd.org/event/luminary-walk/

👉 REQUIRED GEAR: Two trekking poles and a headlamp. A flashlight is NOT a headlamp.

Recommend Gear (but not required): Boot traction devices and gaiters.

Come dressed for a winter weather hike.

A Friendly Guide to Sharing the Trails: As we hike, we'll be sharing the path with others. To ensure a peaceful experience for everyone, let's be mindful of how we communicate. Instead of loud call-outs, let's use quiet voices and enjoy the sounds of nature. 🐦 When encountering others, we can simply move to the right to let them pass. ➡️ If someone is coming up behind our group, a quiet message passed up the line works perfectly. There's no need to yell, stop or leave the trail entirely; just making a little space is all that's needed for everyone to share the path gracefully. ⚜️
