Friday Five at Five 🥾5️⃣🕔 - Dry Feet Hike 🚶🏻♂️♨️
Details
The trails are a muddy mess right now, so let’s take advantage of the 70° weather with a refreshing 5–6 mile, moderately-brisk pace, hike on the paved Kettering–Dayton Connector Trail.
We’ll stroll to Roesch Library at the University of Dayton for a short break before turning around and retracing our steps back to Gentile Park. A great chance to enjoy some sunshine, good company, and easy walking without the mud! ☀️🥾
Wear comfortable shoes as this hike is on hard surfaces. No pets. Guests permitted.
A Friendly Guide to Sharing the Trails: As we hike, we'll be sharing the path with others. To ensure a peaceful experience for everyone, let's be mindful of how we communicate. Instead of loud call-outs, let's use quiet voices and enjoy the sounds of nature. 🐦 When encountering others, we can simply move to the right to let them pass. ➡️ If someone is coming up behind our group, a quiet message passed up the line works perfectly. There's no need to yell, stop or leave the trail entirely; just making a little space is all that's needed for everyone to share the path gracefully. ⚜️
