Join your hiking friends for an evening of live music, food, drinks, and trail stories as we welcome thru-hiker Trevor “Machine” Mayer to Dayton!

Machine is attempting an epic 4,800-mile thru-hike of the North Country Trail / Buckeye Trail in one calendar year. He began his journey in Toledo on March 3 and is hiking east to Vermont before flip-flopping to North Dakota and hiking back to Toledo.

📍 The Silos is the perfect spot for this gathering—located right along the North Country Trail / Buckeye Trail—with live music from Tomfoolery Outdoors and Fifty West Brewing Company. Come as you are. Or, dress in festive in clothes like a Hawaiian shirt.

The Silos in Dayton is a unique food hall and beer garden built around historic grain silos near the 2nd Street Market in downtown Dayton. The site features multiple food vendors, a central bar with Ohio-made beverages, and indoor and outdoor gathering spaces designed for community events and socializing. Originally built in the 1920s for grain storage, the silos have been repurposed into a vibrant gathering place for food, music, and local events.

Machine is taking a well-earned zero day due to the weather and is staying at the brand new Eddy Out Hostel, courtesy of generous Dayton area trail angels.
