Bill Yeck Hike - 6 Miles 🥾

This is a 6 mile hike at Bill Yeck Park. The pace is ~ 3 mph. No pets. One guest.

We'll hike on a variety of color codes trails, climb up and down a few hills and cross creeks on large rocks. Expect muddy trails at times, some bush whacking, and perhaps getting your feet wet as we cross a creek.

Recommended Equipment: Trekking poles, and drinking water.

Description of Park: Bill Yeck Park is a 194-acre natural area along 1.75 miles of Sugar Creek. The park is treasured by hikers, bird watchers and nature enthusiasts. It harbors many rare species of plant life, providing a home to a variety of animals in every season. The park connects with other parks and wildlife areas creating a large corridor of green space that extends from St. Leonard Center to the Little Miami River. This unbroken wooded area makes the park's wildlife abundant and varied.

A Friendly Guide to Sharing the Trails: As we hike, we'll be sharing the path with others. To ensure a peaceful experience for everyone, let's be mindful of how we communicate. Instead of loud call-outs, let's use quiet voices and enjoy the sounds of nature. 🐦 When encountering others, we can simply move to the right to let them pass. ➡️ If someone is coming up behind our group, a quiet message passed up the line works perfectly. There's no need to yell, stop or leave the trail entirely; just making a little space is all that's needed for everyone to share the path gracefully. ⚜️
