DC Gaming Group (DCGG) is a club organization created to foster connections within the DMV gaming community. Together, we can explore new games, support independent game developers, and check out local events.

Our goal is to bring folks with different gaming preferences together in the same community. Whether you like single player adventures, fighters, shooters, or sports games, we provide a community where you can share your passion with other gamers.

Social System Tutorial: Acheron

Come down to Fat Pete’s for Social System Tutorial! Learn the basics of the world and how to play, meet some likeminded gamers, and even get a chance to snag an official rulebook! No experience with Tabletop Roleplaying Games needed!
This System Tutorial is for Acheron, a new game from Dark World Studios. Acheron is a Grimpunk tabletop role-playing game where you must sacrifice your humanity to fight against the evils of the world. Mystery, monsters, and magic collide in this 1930's-era setting where The Government controls the path of history, Factions war for resources, and The Wall looms forever upon the horizon. Are you another cog in the great machine of society, or will you forge your own destiny in the bustling city streets and ancient places once lost to time?
What to Expect
7:00 - 7:30 -- Show up, grab a bite to eat or drink to drink, chitchat with your fellow curious gamers
7:30 -- Welcome to Acheron, a casual presentation on the world and its gameplay mechanics
8:00 -- Time for any questions as well as open the floor to organized discussion before we play through an official Acheron Module. Charcuterie Board: Meaty Board Game Night
The Highbinder, 630 Rhode Island Ave NE, Washington, DC, USBy popular demand and with the amazing friendship of the Highbinder Bar, we are introducing the Charcuterie Board! These are meaty games for experienced tabletop players or players who are comfortable with complexity.
A note from the organizers: Space is limited by how many volunteers we have to host games each month, and can be somewhat variable
About the Games
This series will focus on bringing experienced tabletop fans and meaty games together. These games will include titles with rulesets that are a bit more complex, take a bit more time, and are often strategic and competitive.The games each month are curated and taught by the hosts to help get games going quickly and make sure all players are supported as they learn and engage with the games.
Who this event is for
Self-declared board game enthusiasts and/or people people looking to get into the hobby of tabletop games. While our game hosts will be there to help explain the game and rules, this event is targeted at players who are comfortable learning lots of rules and dedicating a few hours to a single game. And as always, we enforce polite and healthy play spaces.Not into complex games or just not ready for the meaty games

DCGG Game Club --- Disco Elysium: The Final Cut!!!

Do you consider Moby Dick just one long water level? Then the DC Gaming Group Game Club is for you. If you know what a book club is, you know what this is. Each month we will select a game that matches our criteria, beat it, and then come together to discuss our thoughts on the game. Even if you have already played the game or if you haven't yet beaten it, you are welcome at discussion <3
How to Participate:
1. Get the Game!
This month, GameClub will discuss Disco Elysium: The Final Cut!!!2. Play at your own pace and join us in Discord throughout the month for discussion, updates, and vibes as we lead up to the full discussion.
3. Plan the next game!
Please complete the poll in the Discord server. This is normally sent in the #GameClub channel about 5-7 days before the discussion date for the current month's game. Please keep a lookout as the results of this poll will determine what our next game for DCGG Game Club will be!4. Join us for the full discussion by RSVPing to this meetup and joining Discord. We'll be meeting for discussion on August 23rd at 7 PM. The discussion will take place in the Gameclub voice chat room. (https://discord.gg/vuefymS). Look for the #GameClub channel.
