About us
A group for the dedicated reading and analysis of literary classics.
We meet every Sunday, having two monthly meeting for singular books (200-300 pages), one monthly meeting for segments of longer books (~250 pages), and one more monthly meeting for poetry and other works. All voting for future books is done in person at meetings.

Sappho - Poetry Session
National Portrait Gallery, 8th Street Northwest, Washington, DC, USThis meeting will be dedicated to discussion of the poetry of Sappho (ca. 630-570 BC). We’ll be working from If Not, Winter, a compilation/translation by Anne Carson.
We’ll plan to focus on a handful of core poems (TBD, will be listed here soon), but you are encouraged to read the entire collection. Please come ready to discuss any favorites not listed here.
