I will have just returned from my fourth CrimeCon—an unforgettable weekend of true crime deep dives, expert panels, and powerful conversations. I’ll be sharing everything I learned: who was there, what was covered, and why you should absolutely consider attending in 2026.

I'll also be presenting “Finding Jane Doe”—a case that’s been close to my heart for decades. In 1991, the body of a young woman was discovered under an overpass in Frederick County, MD. She’s remained unidentified ever since. I’ve been chasing her story since 1998, through the early days of websleuthing and The Doe Network. A break in the case is coming soon.

💡 Along the way, I’ve helped identify several Jane and John Does—and I’ll be discussing those cases too:

  • Tonya Gardner – Identified in Maryland after years of mystery.
  • Toussaint Gumbs – A breakthrough using volunteer sleuthing.
  • Christopher Faniard – A match made through international collaboration.
  • Cynthia Vanderbeek – Another haunting case of a life lost and identity unknown in Maryland.
  • Brenda Wright, Roger Jeffries, and an unidentified from West Virginia—each with stories that deserve to be told.

🧠 Whether you're a curious mind or someone who simply wants justice for the forgotten, these cases offer a profound look into the world of missing persons and forensic identification.

Let’s talk about how we find the lost, name the nameless, and bring closure to families who’ve waited far too long.
