Between rent, tuition and caffeine-fueled all-nighters that drained his red team budget into the negatives, Jacob Peacy discovered that constraints breed creativity. In this talk, he will share how he stretched Azure’s $100 student credit and academic discounts into a full red team lab—merging redirection and payload servers on a single VM, automating disposable infrastructure, pooling funds for a domain and mapping it via Cloudflare—for less than campus parking fines. Attendees will leave equipped with practical techniques to build low-cost, resilient infrastructure and evade detection without breaking the bank.

Jacob Peacy has just completed his senior year’s first semester at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s in cybersecurity with minors in mathematics and computer science and is concurrently enrolled in the computer science master’s program with an emphasis on cybersecurity engineering. He serves as president of the campus cybersecurity club, works as a student system administrator managing a dorm-wide printer-monitoring network and help-desk tickets, and is interning in cybersecurity at Rockwell Automation this summer. He holds CC and CRTI (Certified Red Team Infrastructure) certifications.
