Tests your Pipeline Maybe Missing
We're very excited to have Gene Gotimer present for DCAST. We met him at TestBash Philly and were thrilled to learn that he was a local! Gene will be presenting on how to ensure that your Pipelines have the different areas of testing covered. Developing a delivery pipeline means more than just adding automated deploys to the development cycle. To be successful, tests of all types must be incorporated throughout the process in order to be sure that problems aren’t slipping through. Most pipelines include unit tests, functional tests, and acceptance tests, but those aren’t always enough. In his talk Gene will present testing strategies you might not have considered, or maybe you just didn't know until now. Some tests will address code quality, others code security, and some the health and security of the pipeline itself. • What to bring An open mind and something to take notes. Make sure to share on twitter with @dcast_io • Important to know Parking is free at the Reston Town Center after 5:30. The Red, Orange, and Blue Parking garages are the closest ones to the Appian Office. We will have a runner in the lobby to let people in as well as on the 11th floor to badge people in. The presentation will be in our kitchen area on the 11th floor We're located next to the Fidelity Office and SweetGreen

Agile software development is a great way to make good software that satisfies real needs and creates real value to those who build and use that software. Everyone on the team is concerned with the quality of the product. However, sometimes it can be an overwhelming task being the team member whose job it is to insure that the quality of the product is sufficient. DCAST was created to develop a community of those interested in agile software testing who are also interested in testing agile products more effectively and more efficiently. By sharing our hard won knowledge we can all help make each other's lives easier and more productive. If you're interested in sharing how you have raised the quality bar of your agile processes, we would love it if you were a part of this community. If you're interested in learning (or want to all learn together), you're even more welcome. Join us for more conversations on Slack (https://dcastesting.slack.com/) to collaborate and find local support on all your testing needs.
