Is your application ready for WCAG 2.1?
If you haven't heard about WCAG and you're doing software development for the federal government then you really NEED to read up on its new Accessibility requirements. Seriously - go read now: Most of us are so focused on ensuring the functional requirements are met for our users we should be taking a step back to think if we are truly thinking about all of our users? Does your application still work and provide a pleasant experience for the blind, deaf, and others with disabilities? What does it actually mean to have an application that is truly Accessible? Join us for a presentation by Sara Tabor on how to ensure you're including all users and tools you can use to ensure/test that you're really making an accessible application. • What to bring * An open mind * Bring your co-workers, project managers, UX - really anyone else you know who should be thinking about Accessibility • What you'll learn * Accessibility is not an after-thought, it should always be considered with design * How can you test for accessibility * How you can keep yourself aware of the latest trends and news for accessibility

Agile software development is a great way to make good software that satisfies real needs and creates real value to those who build and use that software. Everyone on the team is concerned with the quality of the product. However, sometimes it can be an overwhelming task being the team member whose job it is to insure that the quality of the product is sufficient. DCAST was created to develop a community of those interested in agile software testing who are also interested in testing agile products more effectively and more efficiently. By sharing our hard won knowledge we can all help make each other's lives easier and more productive. If you're interested in sharing how you have raised the quality bar of your agile processes, we would love it if you were a part of this community. If you're interested in learning (or want to all learn together), you're even more welcome.
