Blockchain Gaming: Q&A with EnjinCoin

Blockchain Gaming: Q&A with EnjinCoin

Details

It's time once again for the monthly Blockchain Gaming Meetup, a series of events hosted by www.blockchaingaming.com, the first website dedicated to blockchain-based video games. Massive attention (and money) is being poured into this sub-industry following the popular success of CryptoKitties, and we're going to cover every blockchain game one by one and livestream it to our YouTube channel for educational purposes.

This month, we're going to focus on EnjinCoin, a blockchain gaming platform that raised almost $23 million worth of ether from over 18,500 backers. Much of this funding is used to aid blockchain game developers using their platform, which has caused many major titles to join them including Age of Rust, War of Crypto, 9Lives Arena, CryptoFights, Cats in Mechs, Forest Knight, Bitcoin Hodler, Born to the Sky and Helihunter.

They're using the ERC-1155 token standard, which was invented by EnjinCoin to make exchanging digital assets more efficient. Minted items can also be melted back down for the ENJ tokens used in their creation. Their growing software suite includes the Enjin Wallet, EnjinX Explorer & API and multiple SDKs, and they're developing a network called Efinity to handle the blockchain scaling issue.

We're lucky enough to have the CTO himself--Witek Radomski--living right here in Vancouver! He's well known at our local decentralized hack space, and will be coming down for the night to answer all of your questions, as well as present how EnjinCoin works and share their latest accomplishments.
