About the workshop:
7 Stages of Naming Through A Mobber’s Eyes
In this workshop we will explore the 7 Stages of Naming refactoring approach through mob programming. The goal is to become familiar with communicating domain knowledge through code and discovery through mob programming. We will discuss some of the benefits of mobbing and apply them as we work. Finally we will look at how the benefits of pairing and mobbing can be retrofit into solo work when working together is not an option.
This will be largely hands-on so come prepared to code. It is easiest to have mobs of 3-5 so if you can bring a laptop you are comfortable having others work on, it would be greatly appreciated. Learning resources will be provided as handouts and links.
