Hands-On Workshop: 3 Reasons Why Your Business Needs a Blog

Details
Why do I need to blog? Blogging trumps Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. Do you want to get to the first page of Google and Yahoo? START BLOGGING! Google and the other search engines LOVE fresh, new content and they index websites that are updated with new content on a regular basis. Therefore, Google recommends blogging at least once a week if not more and try to use at least 180 words or more in your blog but no more than 500-700.
In this hands-on informative 90-minute mini-workshop, Phyllis Garland will cover the following:
Discover why Google ranks websites that create fresh content daily or weekly How to develop your online presence through blogging How to turn your knowledge and purpose into expertise status There is wi-fi in the conference room, bring your laptop. We will install plugins used for WordPress Security and Website/Blog optimization. Phyllis will show you how to fully optimize the plugins.

If you are looking for help with your WordPress website or blog, you are in the right place. We are starting the New Year with Hands-On Workshop: 3 Reasons Why Your Business Needs a Blog.
As a web designer, I can’t say enough about how great WordPress is and the remarkable transformation it has had on web development. WordPress is an ideal solution for business or pleasure and is one of the most popular web development/blogging tools on the web, making it easy for anybody to post their ideas, pictures, and audio/video.
WordPress powers over 16.7% of the Web. It’s used on over 54 million sites and is the most popular CMS with a 54.4 % market share. It creates truly professional websites that are developer and user-friendly. And it’s not just for do-it-yourselfers—WordPress is used by many major corporations for their websites, including General Motors, EBay, Sony, New York Times, Mashable, CNN, Forbes, Reuters, Jay-z, Katy Perry and many others.
Each monthly lecture will give explanations, illustrations, resources, and practical scenarios of setting up your own WordPress website/blog.
