We will NOT be doing the HPB (High Performance Blockchain) Project Presentation this is getting pushed back to next week due to travel issues.

We will have Yuri Eliezer giving a Blockchain Legal update for the first part of the meetup. We will then have Theo Goodman give a presentation about and how blockchain is and will be utilized with collectables and art.

Presentation 1: Deciphering Recent Legal and Regulatory Developments
Abstract: While cryptocurrency prices have retracted since the December and January highs, the legal landscape has sought to play catch up. In the U.S., the SEC has become more outspoken and looking to clarify its position on cryptocurrency and tokenized commerce while some states have enacted forward looking laws catering to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. The divide on how to treat this new space grows in complexity as we consider the efforts of global regulators. Our presentation will breakdown the recent legal and regulatory developments as well as answer questions on ways to responsibly move the community forward.

Presentation 2: Fomo or Fuk it - tokenization of art - who cares?
Abstract: Blockchain it is so hot right now, but what is it really being used for now? Speculation, Dark Markets, financial sovereignty and tokenized memes.
Blockchain ́s killer app is not supply chain management, health care on the blockchain or self driving cars connected to a blockchain that talk to your refrigrator on the way home. What if I told you that the killer app is here, and it collecting art tokens that have a highly subjective value. What does that mean? That means that people understand collecting rare frogs, cats and other objects created by artists more than trying to figure out how much 0.0010834623 bitcoin is worth today.
A new asset class has been created that allows the moniizatuon of digital artwork like never before. The question remains, are you going to fomo in to blockchain art tokens and buy a bently in a few years or are you going to say fck it I dont need that since they have no utlilty in a supply chain or have no concrete value that is easy to asses? Rich or Rekt, you have the choice.
