For May, we are reading The Master & Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov.

"An audacious revision of the stories of Faust and Pontius Pilate, The Master and Margarita is recognized as one of the essential classics of modern Russian literature. The novel's vision of Soviet life in the 1930s is so ferociously accurate that it could not be published during its author's lifetime and appeared only in a censored edition in the 1960s. For June, we are reading The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith.

"Patricia Highsmith's story of sexual obsession may be one of the most important, but still largely unrecognized, novels of the twentieth century. First published in 1952 under the pseudonym Claire Morgan and touted as "the novel of a love society forbids," the book soon became a cult classic. Yet it was always relegated to a mystery subgenre and never before given the literary recognition that it is now receiving. For July, we are reading Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh.

For August, we are reading The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.
