Social media rewards outrage over understanding. Comment sections encourage point-scoring, not listening. Important issues are reduced to slogans, tribes and noise.
Many people want to engage - but do not recognise themselves in today's "debating culture".
Debait is on a mission to provide an alternative.
We provide an environment where our Debaiters can practise respectful disagreement over issues that shape society.
We run both an in-person and online session every week.

Online Debait - civil debate and respectful disagreement over divisive issues

We offer a much needed alternative to social media "debating". We are anti-ragebait and shouting. Just thoughtful discussions about issues shaping society.
We run an in-person and an online session every week, as follows:
- In-person sessions are held on Tuesdays at 259 Goswell Road, London, between 6pm-8pm
- Online sessions are held on Wednesdays between 7pm-9pm
All our sessions are limited to a maximum of 20 attendees which guarantees that everyone will get ample opportunities to engage.
