Decatur Women´s Book Club

Are you a Woman Who Loves Books looking for a women's book club where the members love to read, talk and share a laugh or two about books? Join us! The purpose of this group is simple - we read books and we discuss them. Once a month we meet at a local restaurant and enjoy a couple of hours away from the family discussing a book we've read with other fun and interesting women.  You'll see as you browse books we've read and books we'll be reading, we have an eclectic reading list with one thing at its center - members like you who enjoy reading a variety of books and discussing them with women you enjoy meeting with each month, sharing your thoughts and laughter.

They are entities sending phishing emails seeking personal information or money so as with any pfishing email do not open it or respond to it. Please assist in deterring this imposter by reporting the email to your email provider, the FBI and the group via our Meetup address. We do not send solicitation emails. You will receive emails should you join our Book Club and you must be a member of Meetup to join our Book Club and attend meetings.  The only money required if you are a member of our Book Club is the Event Fee paid if you choose to attend one of our monthly Book Club meetings. The Organizer and Assistant Organizer are unpaid volunteers, so Meeting Event Fees collected are paid to Meetup to cover our fees for being a member organization. No member of the Book Club receives any of the Event Fees. It is unfortunate that any individual would attempt to use the Decatur Women’s Book Club as a scam.

We ask for RSVPs so we'll know how many seats to ask for at the restaurant. If you are put on a wait list for a meeting put yourself down and if a spot becomes available you'll be notified. Please do not come to a meeting expecting there to be an empty seat for you. If a seat is not available we will have to ask you to leave.

As noted, our focus is to discuss books which in and of itself will be a social activity. There are many book clubs and venues in Atlanta for socializing and if you are looking to socialize only we encourage you to join one of these groups instead of our book club. Also, there are many book clubs and venues in Atlanta for writers to discuss writing or promote their books. Book club members and individuals submitting solicitations to read or promote their books please kindly remember we are not a forum for members who are authors to read or promote their books nor a forum for non-members who are authors to read or promote their books.
