Reckonings

Throughout US history, we have faced various times that have resulted in a reckoning, In some cases, they have been rapid and violent. Think the American Revolution and the Civil War. In others, they have been less violent and gradual. Conside women's suffrage and civil rights.

What are the reckonings that are unavoidable, if not imminent? Is it the national debt? Gun control? Wealth inequality? Now that we pay more in debt service than national defense, and tens of thousands die every year from gun violence, and we are about to see our first trillionaire, we must ask what is the breaking point and how will it manifest itself?

Let's share some opinnions and explore the reckonings that we will have to confront, sooner or later.
