Dessa's Summer Spin-up

Summer’s wrapping up with a bang and we’re excited to kick off another round of Dessa meetups!

Our first Meetup of the season is a slight change of pace from the usual format. Usually we have members bring in their laptops to learn how to put machine learning into production from team of AI practitioners. This time around, we’re looking to our Meetup’s participants to provide feedback on the direction they think applied AI is heading. Dessa’s machine learning engineers will also share some updates on exciting projects they’ve been working on over the summer.

Part 1: 6:00 - 6:15
Snacks, drinks and mingling!

Part 2: 6:15 - 7:00
Updates from our ML Engineers on their latest projects at Dessa. We’ll also open the floor to hear suggestions for future Meetups and what people would like to learn about AI from the Dessa team.

Part 3: 7:00 - 8:00
Break out into smaller groups and discuss barriers practitioners face when deploying real-world AI projects. Dessa will moderate the discussion to touch on subjects including pain points in machine learning development and deployment, reproducibility, and how the audience is using AI and machine learning within their organizations.
