Figma for developers
During the opening keynote at the yearly Config conference, Figma announced many new tools and features geared towards its mission of “making design accessible to all”. Chief among them is a brand new developer mode intended to finally bridge the gap between designers and developers. “Dev Mode” is a new feature that empowers developers to navigate design files and convert them into code quickly.
By empowering developers with the new Dev Mode and its associated tools and features, Figma is revolutionising the collaboration between designers and developers, promoting a harmonious design-to-code workflow. These advancements aim to make design accessible to all stakeholders and enhance digital product development’s overall efficiency and quality.
In this talk, we will discover the new features introduced for developers, including:
- Variables
- Quick prototype view
- New code inspector
- Dev plugins
- VS code integration
- Better asset management
