- Transforming The Mind To Cultivate Lasting Happiness
For more Information and Registration click Here. The Dharma is always offered free of charge. We never want money to be an obstacle for anyone to attend our teachings. We do of course have expenses to make these precious teachings available, so we gratefully welcome any donations as they help us to make the Buddha’s teachings accessible to all.
Are we free to choose what we pay attention to? How to
be able to choose? Can we increase our mental balance?
How to be able to live a healthy emotional life?
We will explore such questions from an experiential point of
view, using both scientific and Buddhist knowledge of the
mind and meditation, in a journey that may translate into
increasing lasting happiness and a positive impact on
oneself, others, and the world.- Cecilia

The Foundation of All Good Qualities is a concise prayer by Lama Tsongkhapa (founder of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism) that teaches the entire graduated path to enlightenment. Reminding us of the precious teachings on impermanence, karma, compassion and more, the prayer is short enough to recite everyday yet profound enough to study for a lifetime. You can read a commentary on this text by Khunu Lama Rinpoche. The prayer is available in ebook format on the FPMT Foundation Store.
Led by Paula Chichester.
This class will be offered via Zoom but you can always join at the Center and we can attend the class together via Zoom.- Cecilia

Throughout our daily lives, we encounter situations and individuals that seem to cause frustration, impatience and other negative emotions. However, as Lama Zopa Rinpoche advises, *“if we have anger, then we should direct our attention to seeing that anger as the enemy and not the person who we think caused it. In fact, we should be grateful to that person for giving us the opportunity to further develop our Dharma practice.”*Join us virtually or in-person at the Center to discuss techniques for learning from difficult situations and individuals. Through such practices, we can grow our wisdom and compassion.

- Conversations that Matter
The purpose of this course is to inspire conversations about values. We will use guided meditations to examine how we think, act, relate to others and find meaning in our daily lives. Questions will be provided to facilitate self inquiry and reflection as we aim to understand ourselves and our values more deeply. The session on the first Sunday of each month will feature light food/snacks, as we become acquainted with one another and strengthen the bonds within our community.
