What we’re about
denhac is a non-profit hackerspace founded in 2008. Er, wait, what’s a hackerspace?
Hackerspaces are for people passionate about teaching, learning, and working on projects in technology, engineering, art, and science. We have everything from a classroom for hosting meetups to fabrication areas for prototyping with 3d printers, laser cutters, woodshop, welders, CNC, electronics, and more. denhac is a 100% volunteer based nonprofit and run like a cooperative by all members.
Interested? Come visit and get a tour during open house, every Tuesday 8pm-11pm or attend any of our public classes and events. Check out our website to learn more: http://denhac.org
Have a group, class, or event? We're happy to host! Please send us a message through our website's contact page.

In the third part of our series, we’ll dive into RAG with vector databases. We'll demonstrate how to create a vector database using Pinecone, integrate it into a RAG system, and perform retrieval-augmented generation on the stored data.
This session will build on our previous workshops (look at the readme to get up to speed):
- Basic RAG with local data (completed) https://github.com/12mv2/30min-rag-db
- Vector databases with Pinecone (completed) https://github.com/12mv2/30min-vector-db
- RAG with vector databases (this session)
All experience levels welcome!
Beginners will get step-by-step help setting up the repo and navigating tools like VS Code, while advanced users can focus on implementing the full pipeline and fine-tuning the vector database integration.
This is a relaxed, hands-on meetup—not a formal SIG or club. Come ready to learn, collaborate, and experiment with your own ML/vision projects.Interested in presenting a future session?
Denhac members can coordinate via the `#ml-vision-projects` Slack channel. Non-members can speak to the organizers in person at the event. We’re always looking for new speakers to share practical ML/vision topics in a 30-minute workshop format. - denhac Open Housedenhac, Denver, CO
Every Tuesday 8pm-10pm our community run 501c3 non profit hackerspace denhac is open to the public! Come get a tour or hang out and meet like minded people.

The best way to learn about denhac is show up to open house but you can also find our more on our website and wiki.Open house is best time to come get a tour, learn about our organization, and meet members of our community. If you like what you see and want to join as a member to get 24/7 access to our space you can sign up from your phone. Bring your government ID to complete your membership.
First official tour starts at 8pm sharp but we can accommodate more informal ad hoc tours throughout the night. Registering for open house on meetup isn't mandatory but helps us. Existing denhac members don't need to sign up on this page.
Open house is always open - we encourage you to stick around and hangout after you get a tour. Come back every week. You're always welcome at open house, even if you're not a denhac member. Also keep an eye out and attend any of our public events.
All guests must sign our waiver. Takes 10 seconds and you can fill it out now. See our page for directions and parking map.

In the fourth part of our series, we’ll continue building on previous workshops by digging deeper into vector databases—what they are, how they’re used in real-world machine learning pipelines, and when not to use them. We’ll explore the algorithms that power these systems under the hood and walk through practical examples, including how earlier sessions used Pinecone to store and search runner gait data.
Patrick Cromer will lead this session and provide a new repo you can browse and experiment with during the meetup. This will be a great opportunity to go beyond plug-and-play and gain a stronger intuition for how these tools work behind the scenes.
All experience levels welcome!
We’ll be available to help with repo setup, navigating tools like VS Code, and digging into the code together. Beginners can get guided assistance; advanced users can explore the implementation details or extend the examples.
