All January denhac is conducting robotics league, but a different type of bot will prevail, the Twitter bot! In this mini throwdown, we'll create our own Twitter bots and have them compete head-to-head in the Twitter Commons. The most popular bot by the next Coding Night (as evidenced by follows, retweets, and/or other metrics yet to be determined) will be crowned champion with an impressive ABS statuette churned off our plastic printer.

In preparation, we'll laugh at some popular examples of bots, look at some of the tools available to make the process accessible, learn about related concepts (Markov chains!), and hear war stories from local bot maker, Drew Dahlman.

This would be a great Coding Night for new or noncoders to attend -- bring a coding partner or get one at the space -- because creativity will likely dominate this bot battle.

denhac's Coding Nights are moving to a new time and structure. Starting at 6:30, we'll hear from a featured speaker about a subject related to coding, microcomputing, embedded electronics, and software development and then have an open format of sharing and working on personal code projects. So bring your laptops and projects and join us at 6:30 (before our Tuesday Open House)!
